COVID Prepared
Safety and good health of our patients and our beloved city of Kingston are of the utmost importance.
Following the advice of public health guidelines, we are constantly updating our COVID19 policies. In addition to our current rigorous cleaning and sanitizing procedures, here is the list of changes Limestone Eyecare have made.

- Any patient who is experiencing symptoms of COVID19, who is living with someone that has symptoms, who has been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID19, will be rescheduled until symptoms resolve and test negative for COVID19.
- Patients and guests with a positive COVID19 screening will be directly referred to Telehealth Ontario (1-866-797-0000).
- Optometrists and staff will not present to work if ill with symptoms of the COVID19 infection.
- Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the clinic for all patients and guests, and we recommend it used upon entry into the clinic.
- Every device or appliance that patients/guests contact will be disinfected before use with the next person.
- Following updated Ontario Public Health recommendations, masking is now optional at the office. If patients wish staff/doctors wear a mask, please ask us upon entering.
- Doctors and staff may be wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), especially at the request of any patient or guest.
- Barriers are installed on all slit lamp microscopes to help provide protection during patient interaction.
- When possible, dispensing services (spectacles & contact lenses) will be provided by appointment, please call to set up a time.
- Curbside pickup and delivery options will be available for patients' orders upon request.
- Health Canada guidelines will be followed.
Should you experience an emergency after hours, contact public health or go to the nearest walk-in clinic or emergency room.
